Time Frame For Clue 6 Revealed

by MissGnomie on August 4, 2011

The official Pottermore blog has been updated once again with the time frame for when clue 6 & 7 for the Magical Quill Challenge will be posted.  The final two clues for the Pottermore Magical Quill Challenge will be a little more limited in their time frame, having a 2-hour and 30-minute window of when the clue will be released, which means users will not have to wait around at the computer to find the clues for such a long period of time. Previously, each clue were to be announced within a 4-hour window of time which made many Potter Fans anxious about the wait, and left them refreshing the page for minutes on end!

We can confirm that Clue #6 will be released  between 1:30pm and 4.00pm BST (British Standard Time) on August 5th, 2011. Clue #6 will be posted earlier in the morning, compared to the previous two clues, for those of you in the U.S and North America. On the other hand you won’t have to spend all day at the computer waiting for a chance to get in!

For those of you in the United States here are the conversion times once again:

  • U.S Eastern Time: 8:30 am – 11:00 am
  • U.S Central Time:  7:30am – 10:00am
  • U.S Pacific Time: 5:30am – 8:00am

Yesterday’s Pottermore Magical Quill Challenge clue (Clue #5) was to be released between the time of 4:30pm and 8:00pm BST. It arrived at 6pm BST and was open once again for approximately 1 hour.  Users who answered the clue correct from the book “Harry Potter & The Order Of the Phoenix” were redirected to another site, and had to find the Magic Quill.  The Quill was found on a banner ad at the Scholastic webpage, and many users had difficulty finding it due to their ad-blocker being on!  Those who are searching for the Magic Quill tomorrow may want to turn off their browser’s adblocker once the clue is announced.

Be sure to follow us at @PMInsider on Twitter, as we will tweet once the clue is posted. The clue this time will be based on “Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince” book 6 in the series. Be sure to have your books open and ready, you never know what the information you will need!  And don’t forget to join us on our Pottermore Insider forums!  We have a lot of new members who are excited about the early release, hold discussion about the upcoming clue possibilities, and are willing to help those who may need a hand in registering.

Good luck!
